Savage Precision Reaches $1 Million in Monthly Sales

In February, we reached an exciting milestone: $1 million in sales in a single month. Just two years ago, a strong month for Savage Precision meant hitting $450,000–$500,000 in sales. Today, we’re consistently averaging between $850,000 and $950,000. This achievement reflects not just the expansion of our capabilities, but the dedication of our employees, our commitment to continuous improvement, and the strong partnerships we’ve built along the way.
A Milestone Built on Growth and Innovation
Reaching this milestone was the result of strategic investments, a motivated workforce, and a company-wide commitment to excellence. Several key factors contributed to this success:
- Investment in Technology – We recently added a new coordinate measurement machine (CMM) laser head attachment to dramatically speed up CMM inspection processes for clips and brackets, ensuring higher precision in less time.
- New CNC Machine – Expanding our machining capabilities allowed us to take on more complex, high-volume projects.
- Expansion of Spot Welding – Our new spot welding machine is in place and fully operational. Once we have Lockheed Martin’s final approval, we will be able to begin production.
- New Customer Partnerships – We just completed our first job for Saffron, a major industry player, with all parts successfully accepted.
- Employee Investment & Team Buy-In – Every department has stepped up their game, from inspectors to assemblers to painters. Employees have taken ownership of their work, and the results are evident in our performance.
- Investment in Ourselves – We prioritize investing in our team and rewarding them for their hard work. We also take a holistic approach to business, ensuring continuous improvement in all aspects of our company.
Empowering Employees: Ownership and Incentives
At Savage Precision, we recognize that our employees are our greatest asset, and we believe they should share in the success they help create. Beyond our annual profit sharing initiative, we also have monthly sales incentives for our valued employees.
Beyond financial incentives, we’ve also invested in improving workplace morale in simple but meaningful ways. For example, we recently increased employee break times by 10 minutes per day, a move that costs the company $28,000 per month but has been worth every penny in terms of boosting motivation and overall well-being.
One of our proudest moments in recent months has been seeing Eric, an employee in our special needs jobs program, receive a promotion to deburring parts. His growth within our company is a testament to the opportunities we strive to provide for every team member.

A Growing Footprint: Expanding Our Capabilities and Global Reach
Our ability to scale and sustain this momentum means we can take on more complex projects and international clients. While Lockheed Martin remains a key customer, we continue to expand globally, serving clients in Australia, Turkey, Israel, France, and beyond. In fact, there are times when our international clients have even more work lined up than Lockheed’s Fort Worth facility.
To keep up with growing demand, we’re planning additional investments in 5-axis CNC machines and expanding our sheet metal capabilities, a sector that is currently booming. We’re also fortunate to have a strong backlog of work, giving us the confidence to continue investing in the future.
Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter for Savage Precision
While hitting $1 million in sales is a significant milestone, it’s just the beginning. Moving forward, our focus is on continuous improvement and smart expansion.
- Investing in New Equipment – We plan to add three more 5-axis CNC machines this year.
- Expanding Our Facility – We currently have 6,000 square feet of unused space that we can grow into, and our production expansion has even pushed us to the limits of our facility’s electrical capacity.
- Building on Our Reputation – Our recent success has solidified our position as a trusted industry leader, and we will continue to strengthen relationships with both long-term and new customers.
